This policy explains what Sung to You collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to make and deliver your song.

What we collect

• Your story: the recipient's name and how to pronounce it, your relationship, memories, and the message you want to send.
• Contact details: your email, and the recipient's email if you ask us to send the gift by email.
• Your song: the lyrics, the recordings and your note on the gift page.
• Payment records: Stripe handles your card; we receive only the payment status, amount and a reference.
• Technical data: IP address and request logs, used for security and to prevent abuse.

How we use it

To write your lyrics and record your song, check stories and lyrics for content we don't allow, take payment, deliver the gift, answer your messages, and keep the service secure. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

• Anthropic: writing lyrics and screening content.
• Google: recording the music.
• Stripe: payments.
• Resend: sending emails.
• Cloudflare: storing audio files.
• Neon, Railway and Vercel: our database and hosting.

They process your information only to provide their service to us.

Cookies

We set one cookie that keeps your song draft tied to your browser while you make it, so only you can open it. It's needed for the service to work. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your story and song while your gift page is available, so the recipient can go back to it, and payment records as long as tax law requires. Unpaid drafts are kept so you can come back to them. You can ask us to delete your song and gift page at any time.

Children

Sung to You is for adults buying gifts. Songs for children use the child's first name only, and we don't knowingly collect other information about children.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it by writing to support@sungtoyou.com from the email you used.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
